RTGSE Whopper Popper Topwater Bass Lure Kit

This RTGSE topwater lure kit pairs a pencil-shaped front section with a cupped plastic tail that spins on the wire harness, so a steady or jerking retrieve throws water and creates buzzbait-style turbulence. The design lets you stop the lure in place, work it around cover, and rip it without pulling it far out of the strike zone.

Each 3.54 in lure weighs 0.5 oz and carries high carbon steel treble hooks with spear points, 3D eyes, and multi-layered reflective finishes. The set covers bass, musky, pike, perch, trout, and walleye in both saltwater and freshwater.

• The Fishing Lures has two body sections. The front section is like a standard pencil-shaped walking bait. The back section is similar except for a cupped molded plastic tail and the fact that it’s able to spin around the wire harness of the front half. So with a jerking or steady retrieve the cupped tail, causes the hind end to spin around creating a turbulence in the water similar to a buzzbait.
• While it acts more like a buzz bait than a big walking topwater, it does have one distinct advantage over a buzzbait in that it can be stopped and it will stay there. It can be maneuvered around a piece of cover and ripped to cause some spray without moving it too far out of the strike zone, especially in those cases where a fish might miss the bait.
• When sped up, it throws water like a swamp buggy with the same deep, fish-catching sound as the original. It casts a long distance, and its ability to work at a wide range of speeds makes it a tool for honing in on the most productive speeds and rhythms for the day.

How to use

Cast the lure and retrieve it with a steady or jerking motion so the cupped tail spins and throws water. You can pause the lure and it will stay in place, then rip it near cover to trigger a strike without moving it far out of the strike zone.
