Collection: GUIDES TO GEAR
Knowledge Is the Best Gear You Can Carry
Welcome to the Core Drive Sports community hub — where experienced hunters share what they know, and newcomers find the guidance they need. Whether you're looking for honest gear advice, field-tested tips, or want to share the story of your last hunt, you're in the right place.
A Few Words on Gear
Not all gear is created equal. Before you spend your hard-earned money, here's what we've learned from seasons in the field:
- Buy quality once. Cheap optics, flimsy knives, and unreliable trail cameras will cost you more in the long run — and potentially cost you the hunt.
- Match your gear to your terrain. A western elk hunter and a Midwest whitetail hunter need very different setups. Know your environment before you buy.
- Don't overlook the basics. A quality knife, a reliable rangefinder, and a comfortable pack will serve you better than the latest gadget every time.
- Ask questions. The hunting community is generous with knowledge. If you're unsure what to buy, reach out — we're happy to help point you in the right direction.
