Its hard polypropylene shell with up to 2.4 inches of closed-cell polyurethane foam and a freezer-style gasket holds the cold for up to 6 days when following RTIC Cooling Tips, and the whole unit weighs 11.7 pounds, about 30% lighter than rotomolded coolers of the same capacity.
Inside, the 22-quart chamber fits up to 30 cans or 8 wine bottles, making it a practical choice for picnics, camping, the beach, the boat, fishing trips and barbecues, and it can be carried by one person. A 2-in-1 webbing strap with a neoprene handle works as a shoulder strap or shortens into a handle, while silicone T-latches seal the lid, the Single Plug Rapid V-Drain drains hands-free, and a built-in stainless steel bottle opener, silicone cargo net and non-skid rubber feet round out the setup.
